FUNCTIONAL CORROSION RESISTANT FINISHES
RMF offers a number of surface finishes that protect against corrosion, increase durability, and add to the aesthetics of the part. We electroplate all things ferrous–castings, forgings, stampings, cold headed parts, and screw machine parts. We electrocoat and powder coat steel and aluminum substrates and in many cases apply these organic coatings to parts we have electroplated. For example, John Deere and Caterpillar have corrosion resistant specifications that call for zinc plating followed by e-coat and powder coat. Having the ability to accomplish all that under one roof is efficient and saves time and logistics. Today we are the largest zinc nickel electroplating company in the United States. All of our fully automated plating and coating lines operate 24 hours a day. Chemical maintenance is accomplished through automatic dosing and equipment is maintained through a comprehensive preventative/predictive maintenance program. Amperage to all of our plating cells is individually controlled by part-specific plating recipes, which ensures correct current to each lot processed.FUNCTIONAL CORROSION RESISTANT FINISHES

As part of our continued efforts to pursue the latest in corrosion resistant chemistry that is environmentally friendly, RMF has eliminated the use of hexavalent chromium compounds from all of our plating processes. We offer a variety of the latest in trivalent passivates that meet the requirements of the RHOS, ELV, WEEE, and Reach regulations.- blue bright thin film trivalent chromates (for appearance)
- thick film clear passivates (for corrosion protection)
- chromate conversion coatings after baking
- black trivalents
- yellow trivalents
